Superb as Stirke Indicators
I use these Lil Corky's in size 12 as strike indicators while fly fishing with my Tenkara Rods (Japanese fly rods). I mainly use them in bright colors to see where my line is on the water. They also help me see where my line is as it moves through the air. Many fish takes are subtle, and I can often see the Corky's move before I feel anything. They are super light, I don't feel them on the line, they can be moved up and down the line without leaving residue as sticky indicators do. So far, no downsides for me in this particular situation.

Lil Corky - Size 12
I use these on my Tenkara Fly Rod lines as strike indicators and visual indicators. The various colors show up well against the background colors of woods and water. I can see them a bit better than my thin fly lines, even in the air when casting. These will slide up and down the line easily (with soft plastic pegs to hold them in place) better than sticky indicators and they leave no residue. They can be easily changed to meet visual needs. They have so little weight they don't affect the movement of small flies. A winner.

Excellent as Strike Indicators
I use these with my fly rods and Tenkara Fly Rods. They are so lightweight as to not be there on the cast. They are highly visible against almost any background and water color conditions. They can be easily removed with no residue. They can be moved up and down the line with ease and no damage to the mono using rubber pegs. And they help me see the takes I don't feel. No issues at all. I use size 12 and 14, although the 14s are very hard to find.
