Trilene XL green # 20 lb
I have tried every line there is, mono, fluoro, braid etc...... from lower end to the highest end fluoro and I have come to the conclusion that this Trilene XL is my absolute favorite. It's extremely limp and it does not have memory like all the others. I used to think the line memory on other lines represented extreme strength, brands like P Line CX strong , Ande, triple fish,Big Game, and Stren which are all wonderful lines BTW, however, the XL has amazing strength and I'm more than comfortable pitching into heavy cover with it as well as flipping bushes. I do use braid for my frog, Carolina rig mainline and punching , but ALL other applications I do from now on will be done with Trilene XL!!!!!!! I am a line fanatic and change all the time which is very annoying to the family with them holding the spool at nite sitting in the den, so I have started ordering the 3,000 yard spool because I can simply put it in a chair and spool up all my reels without any help and it goes on so smooth. I keep a record of my trips with date, lake, how many caught, application or pattern that I have caught them on . I'm retired now and I have caught 86 bass in 7 trips in my new to me USED BOAT, and I have used the XL line exclusively and right now you cannot even tell this line has been used on my 5-6 reels I carry with me. I've been catching fishing on big worms, rattle trips, chatter baits, buzzbaits, crankbaits, and sencos. I cannot recommend any product any higher than I can the Trilene XL.
