Great searching finesse bait
Flukes are an awesome bait when the fish are finicky. It's a very subtle non-intimidating lure. Smallmouth, largemouth, and pike eat them. It's great clear water bait. It is also a great over and around the lily pads type bait. Just rig it texas style with no weight and skin hook the tip.  This is one of the best baits ever invented. I also like to rig it with a swivel about 18" up the line to give it a look of a bait fish chasing a really small bait fish and the swivel makes it sink sowly.
